Last warning about Trash!
I have been hoping that everyone would be mindful of the trash situation but I was very mistaken. This past weekend we had over 10 bags of trash dumped by our cage and the trash cans were over flowing with clothes and things left behind by some vendors. This will no longer be tolerated. We know who is doing this and starting this coming week, we will be publicly announcing who the offenders are and here is the way the penalties will work.
1st time offense: $50 fine paid before you can sell again.
2nd offense: $100 fine paid before you sell again.
3rd offense: You will not be allowed to sell for 4 weeks.
There is no excuse for this. We worked hard to keep this swap meet open when Newport pulled out. We lowered the rates, cleaned things up and we have more in store that will take this swap meet to a new level but we can’t have vendors who repeatedly break the rules and are disrespectful.
The rules clearly state “NO DUMPING TRASH” and that includes leaving clothes and merchandise, boxes and packaging at the trash cans or the bins by the cage.
Do the right thing and take your trash with you or you will be fined or removed.
Hi Phillip. I’ve read the rules online and I know it says if some vendors play loud music to please let them know it offends us. But they don’t respect the rules play loud music even when we ask them nicely to lower the volume. I’ve told security also but it seems the vendors just don’t care. It’s really annoying because we pay to come and sell and we can’t hear the customers well and they end up leaving. Can you please address this.
Has it improved? I sent a message to all vendors.
