Important Vendor Update

Hello,

I hope everyone is enjoying selling at LACC Swap Meet. I have been having a great time meeting vendors, shopping, and seeing it grow but we also have some issues that have to be addressed. For the most part, vendors are adapting to our policies and rules but still, we have some that feel they can do what they want and that is sadly not going to be allowed.

Tent Weights

Effective immediately we are requiring ALL Vendors to weigh their tents down or to at least carry weights in case the winds kick up. Failure to do so may result in having to take your tent down or the deactivation of your account. The safety of our attendees, vendors, and staff is paramount. Tents can and have severely injured and even caused death from winds carrying them and dropping them on people.

Trash on the lot at Blind Institute

We will be forced to close the “Large Vehicle” parking located on Marathon across from the Swap Meet if it is left in the condition it was this weekend. I hate having to keep writing “pick up your trash” and it’s simple. Clean up or lose the parking.

Load Out

All vendors must be off the lot by 6 pm. We close at 3:30. That gives everyone 2.5 hours to pack, clean, and exit the lot. Failure to exit the lot by 6 PM can result in a fine of $100 to come back, or for repeat offenders, deactivation of your account. It cost money to stay past 6 PM. The staff has to be paid, the cleaning crew has to wait which costs money and the school can bill us overtime.

Printing Tickets to Enter

Effective immediately, you must print your ticket and have it on the windshield when you arrive. If you do not, you will not be allowed to drive on the lot. You will have to park, walk into the desk in front of the office and we will print the ticket 1 time for free and walk you through how to print your tickets before showing up. After the first time, it is $10 per ticket that we print for you on the lot. You can print your tickets from MY BOOKINGS on your MY PROFILE Page.

Wristbands

All staff must have a wristband. Simply saying “I work for booth ___” doesn’t work anymore. No wristband = pay $1. No exceptions. Wristbands are distributed by our staff and only to those who work in your booth limit 3 per booth. Additional staff will be required to pay $1.

Thanks for your understanding!

Phillip
