I decided to hold off on the auction and may never actually bring it back. I realize after everything that went down with Newport with the abrupt walking away of a 25 year old staple in the community that it may cause some vendors to get nervous. I can assure you we are in this for many years to come. We have been producing events in Los Angeles for more than 30 years and plan on building the LACC Swap into something bigger and better than ever before.
The auction was a way to secure booth(s) on a permanent basis but I never really liked the auction idea for booths. You can get outbid and lose a spot you’ve grown for many years. You could wind up paying a lot of money during a pandemic which doesn’t seem right so we decide to not do the auction.
Instead I came up with what I know is a fair and reasonable solution. Every booth will have a License that will be offered to the vendor who has been in the spot the longest. The License Subscription is $75 a month per booth per day (Sat / Sun)
We will offer all existing vendors who have claimed their spaces to subscribe to a License for the booth(s) they want before releasing the booths to the general public.
How it works:
If you have a booth that has been yours and you want to continue with the same booth(s) you need to purchase a Booth License for $75 per month. If you have the same booth for Sat and Sun then you would buy the License for Saturday ($75) and Sunday ($75) per month and it will be automatically debited from your credit card. You pay pay Monthly for $75 or you can pay every 6 months for $405 (save $45) or you can pay once a year for $765 (Save $135).
ONLY PURCHASE A LICENSE FOR YOUR BOOTH(S) AND NOT SOMEONE ELSES. IF YOU TRY TO STEAL A BOOTH FROM ANOTHER ESTABLISHED VENDOR, YOUR BOOTH LICENSE WILL BE REFUNDED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO SELECT FROM ANOTHER BOOTH.
This way no one needs to worry about being out bid or that the bidding may get too expensive. If you placed a bid already, do not worry, they have all been canceled.
Thanks You!

I liked this idea best. My dad has been in this same spot for 20 yrs. and makes more sense foe him to be able to secure / reserve the spot for a year. Will wait for to hear more when we can pay to reserve.
Hi,
Yes, I am not a fan of the auction so I think this is much better. Have a good night.
I have a question? Which month do I need to pay for to secure/reserve my spot ? Is it September or October?
These are not booking fees. They are Booth Licenses for those who want permanent booth assignments. Each License is valid for 1 booth. As soon as we get everyone set with their License(s) then we will open up October through December to purchase your booths. They are 2 different things. You will only be guaranteed a booth number if you have a valid license. Then we will reserve your booth(s) throughout the year.
Please understand that these are NOT booth fees. These are licenses instead of costly auctions where vendors can secure the rights to specific booths. The fees for the booth are separate and will remain at $50.
Hi. When do we purchase for the license.
Now if you want to get your same space(s) for Oct – Dec. The license is to block anyone else from getting your booth(s). Thank you.
Question ?if i pay the $75 license monthly does that means i have the month paid and as long as i pay $ 50 for sat and sun iam good i got the space. That doesnt mean i have to pay $75 licence. For saturday
And $75 for sunday
The $75 covers both days for a month if i deside to do monthly.
Is that right?
Hello, $75 is per booth per day. Some have single day booth licenses and others have 2 day booth licenses. Thanks for the question.
Disregard my question I was reading your comments and i read one in Spanish there is an answer to my question thank you so much
