LACC Swap New Parking Fee

As many are aware, the street vendors surrounding the swap meet are there illegally, yet Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez refuses to honor the City Ordinances prohibiting street vendors within 500 feet of the swap meet. This is becoming a growing safety issue. Additionally, people are misusing our garage, parking for free, and not even entering the swap meet. This misuse costs the Foundation much-needed revenue, directly affecting our vendors and the funds that 17,000 students depend on from the money generated from the Swap Meet. Due to the presence of illegal street vendors profiting from our swap meet, our contribution to the Foundation has dropped by 40%. This needs to change.

LACC Swap Meet Parking

Includes ONE FREE ADMISSION to the LACC Swap Meet.

Present the top part of this ticket for entry.

Terms and Conditions:

By parking here, you agree to hold LACC Swap Meet and LACC Foundation harmless from any damage, theft, or loss involving your vehicle or property. Parking at your own risk. Unauthorized vehicles are subject to towing at owner’s expense.

Parking Garage is ONLY for LACC Swap Meet Visitors.

Others will be towed at the owner’s expense.

This change comes as we aim to reserve parking for LACC Swap Meet visitors, as many spaces have been occupied by people using the lot for other destinations. By ensuring that parking remains available for true Swap Meet enthusiasts, we can better support our community of vendors and shoppers. The lot is NOT for Street Vendors selling illegally within 500 feet of the swap meet. Nor is our parking lot for residents to use for free.

We will be actively towing and fining vehicles parked in our lot that are not attending our swap meet. We appreciate your understanding and support as we transition to a paid parking garage.

We suggest residents contact Councilmember Hugo Soto Martinez at (213) 207-3015 or email him demanding he respect the City Ordinance and allow the police to enforce the 500 foot ordinance which he has repeatedly refused to do.

Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the LACC Swap Meet thriving. For more information, visit LACC Swap.
